RHS Drama Presents.... Any Body for Tea?

The Rockport High School Drama Llamas will soon mount Any Body for Tea? by C.F. Gilford as their 2024 Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Drama Festival entry.

Any Body for Tea? will debut at Rockport Public School on Friday, March 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the John E. Lane Performing Arts Center at 24 Jerden’s Lane. The show is free to the public, but donations are gratefully accepted to support the program.

This dark comedy centers on Detective Dennis O’Finn who, in the course of investigating the death of an elderly lady, discovers that he is the motive for her murder. Hoping to meet the handsome, forty-ish detective who lives just a bionocular’s view away, six sweet - but slightly batty - elderly ladies turn to homicide to gain the attention of the man they’ve all fallen in love with from afar. And to keep him around, they might just do it again!
RHS Drama will bring the show to Andover High School on Saturday, March 2nd. Rockport will perform first at 9:00 a.m. and will be one of eight schools presenting work for consideration in the competitive festival. To qualify for advancement in the festival, shows must be set up and struck in five minutes and performed in forty minutes or less. In total, 94 schools will perform at 13 festival sites throughout Massachusetts.
